About Us

Doug Joens has over 30 years experience in the accounting industry.  He worked in Washington DC for the Federal government for 13 years before starting Mesilla Valley Accounting in Las Cruces. 

 

After 16 years, Mesilla Valley Accounting was sold to a larger accounting firm.  Doug took a 2 year sabbatical, after which he wanted to start a small practice focused on the individual customer and small businesses.  Mobile Accounting Solutions was born and is ready to serve your needs.

Doug graduated Summa Cum Laude from Strayer University in Washington DC with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.  He also attended New Mexico State University, receiving an Associates degree in Business.  In addition, Doug is an IRS Enrolled Agent, allowing him to represent clients before the IRS.

He enjoys traveling, camping, hiking and golf in his spare time.
